Halloween Party '10

So yesterday I had my yearly Halloween party! We had a lot of fun and I'm so thankful for everyone that drove all the way up to Logan for it.

This was what my costume turned out to look like:
I tried to poof my hair but apparently short hair doesn't like to be poofed too much... And thanks Heather for lending me the jacket!

And then of course since I had the 60's housewife look I had to take a picture with the soup :) This would be even better if I had actually made the soup but I didn't. My mom came up just to make it for the party. She's the best. And Heather too. She helped as well.

We played family Fued and Minute to Win it. I didn't get any pictures of our Family Feud game cause I was busy, but here's a couple pictures from the Minute to Win it game we played:
We played all sorts of little games for Minute to Win it, but here's a picture of a mini game where you have to keep 3 balloons up in the air without letting them touch the ground for a whole minute. For us it was more like 10 seconds, but we sure tried.

For this one, you had to get 6 penne noodles onto a regular spaghetti noodle in your mouth in a minute. Alayna kicked butt at it. Alayna, you really should try out for that show :)

For this game, you had to knock down a tower of 6 cans using only rubberbands from 8 feet away.

Those were only a few of the games we played for Minute to Win it. It was really fun and I recommend it to anyone thinking of having a party. I made up some of the mini games to play, but most of them I got off of the Minute to Win it game show website.

Here's a picture of part of the group. It was taken after my roommate Naconi and her friend left and before Cassie, her boyfriend, and Jenilyn showed up... so sadly not everybody's in it.

After that we went to Angie's and cleaned the sink. Well, we didn't actually clean the sinks cause we got sick after eating like half of them, but we sure tried and the waitress lady gave us a couple of bumper stickers anyway! Score! (Oh yeah, by the way if you don't know what "cleaning the sink" is, it's an Angie's tradition where they serve you about a gallon of soft serve ice cream in a sink... literally, a sink)

Again, thanks everyone for coming! I had a blast and I hope you guys had fun too!

HALLOWEEN!

First of all, I love Halloween. Actually, after Christmas, I'm pretty sure that it's my favorite holiday. Who doesn't love fall leaves, the smell, FREE candy, to be able to dress up and make a fool of yourself, pumpkins, fall colors, scary movies, and pumpkin flavored - well - everything? Personally I can't get enough of it.

So this year me and the roommies
decided that we should all dress up as different decades in time. It took us a while to finally decide on what to do cause we all wanted to have some sort of theme, but I think we ended up with a pretty good idea. I'm going to be the 60s. I found this awesome dress at the DI (my favorite Halloween costume store) and I'll do my hair in some sort of 60s style. I've been trying to find some pictures on google of what women from the 60s actually looked like, but I don't know how much I can trust the pictures I found. They look like random weirdos that dressed up and decided to call themselves 60s girls. So I'm kind of basing my costume off of the movie Hairspray instead. I figure that's about as close to the style they wore back then as I can get cause somebody else researched the clothing back then... not me :) bonus! This is a picture of a dress similar to mine. Though mine is yellow with pink flowers on it and my body is definitely not shaped like that mannequin. But overall that's the general shape of it.

I don't know if I'll be able to do it but I really want to do my hair like this. My hair is just about this length, maybe a little bit longer. But I think that if I can play with it a bit I can get it to do the little swooshy thing that this girl has going on.

Ever since 7th grade it's been my tradition to have a friend Halloween party. Last year since I came up here to Utah State and pretty much all of the friends that usually come to the parties were still at home I almost didn't have it. Luckily I did and surprisingly a lot of my home friends came up to Logan to come to it. So this year I'm having another one (I think I'll pretty much have a Halloween party till I'm old and lazy... which may be pretty soon). I'm super excited but now I have to get everything ready and it's kinda stressing me out. Top all that off with school and I'm kinda going crazy inside right now. Well, wish me luck! I'll post some pictures of the party and all of our costumes soon!

Well if I don't blog before then, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

My Blog

So I noticed my "Stats" tab and was playing around with it just now and found out that they have a section where you can see where people who are looking at your blog are from. I figured that I'm the only who ever looks at this thing and I'm posting all of these random posts to casper, but I found out something really cool. There have been 4 people from China, 2 people from Canada, and 1 person from Pakistan who have all looked at my blog! Some people might find that creepy, but I think it's pretty sweet!

Now, I know that at least like 100 of the 220 page views of my blog have been me, but that still mean that about 80 other people have looked at it as well! So I'm going to bed right now feeling pretty special :)

OREGON!

For our Kidd Family Reunion we went to the Oregon Coast and the Redwoods. It was a really fun trip (minus the drive of death where me and Skyler and Kirsten were stuck in the back of our very uncomfortable truck).
Luckily we didn't drive through the whole thing nonstop, and stayed in a hotel in Pendleton which is about 4 hours away from Salem where my uncle lives. This gave us some extra time to kill so we stopped at the Bonneville Dam on the way.
(Kirst and Sky in front of the dam)
The dam is home to Herman the Sturgeon. He's like 70 years old and was pretty huge.
This may sound dorky but I thought it was really cool to see all of the big fish :)
That day we also went to the "big city" of Portland, just for the heck of it. We definitely had the whole tourist thing down, taking pictures of everything we saw that looked cool (buildings, trees, strange looking people) and even getting lost and having to slow down like every two seconds to look at every sign we passed to try to figure out where we were. Luckily we found our way and made it to Salem safe and sound where we hooked up with the rest of the family.
The first day with the whole fam damily we went to the beach and just played around the whole time. There was a huge sand dune off to the side of the beach that most of us climbed. The hike sucked but the view from the top was definitely worth it.
The next day we went to tide pools that were right outside of our sweet hotel. I think the tide pools were probably my favorite part of the trip. It was fun to look in all of the pools of water and see what you'd find. There were literally thousands of starfish and anemones on the exposed rocks. It was beautiful :) The only thing that would've made it better would be if it was actually warm outside.
(by the way, it's really fun to poke sea anemones. I was really entertained)
That day we went crabbing too. We didn't have the boats for very long so I didn't really get to go as long as I would've liked but what I did do was really fun. That night we ate the crabs that we caught. I'm not a big fan of seafood but I still ate the crab, mostly cause it's fun to crack them open and eat them.
We also went to the Redwoods that week. If you haven't been to the Redwoods, go. I can't describe how huge they were, you just have to experience it for yourself.
(My Peter Pan Pose)
I miss Oregon right now and want to go back! Especially now that I'm working in the hot sun again.

Eclipse

Ok so this is like a month late, but at least I'm finally posting something again. This blog is kind of like my journal, I write on it about once a year and get so overwhelmed with everything I have to write about that I just say forget it and don't write anything. I'll try to work on that...
So this summer when Eclipse came out I went to see it in Salt Lake with my cousins and sister. We were all excited so I decided that we should make some shirts for it. Pathetic? A little bit, but it was so worth it. It was really pathetic cause we didn't even go to it opening night. So we all had matching Eclipse shirts when we went to see it like four days after it was already out. Oh well it was still fun. So this is what I did for our shirts:

*disclaimer: I am NOT a Twilight junkie. Yes, I like the books and the movies are entertaining, but I am not obsessed. I just wanted to let you know before you scroll down*

BEFORE:

AFTER:
I warned you that it was pretty pathetic :)

So I made one of these for everyone who came with us and we used iron-on paper to put them onto black shirts. My favorite picture that I made was my sister's. Look really closely and you'll see her husband.

It was a really fun night! Here's a picture of all of us with our shirts:

My Roomies

I love my roommates!

Alayna, Sophia, Tammy, Becky, Me, and Callie
One of the many bonding moments that we have as roommates is having chick-flick nights. What could be better than watching a good ole love story? Anyways, we took this picture when we discovered that Becky's camera had a timer so we could finally get a picture with all of us in it! It took many practice pictures to finally get one with all of us in it.

This was at Alayna's birthday party... another roommate bonding moment that we have often - eating junk food and celebrating birthdays.

Ok this picture is just nasty cause I look like a pie, but I had to put it on here just cause it was such a fun night. Four of us had to squeeze into the back of a little car on our way to get ice cream (see I told you we eat junk food often!) So that's why I'm all bent in weird ways.

And this is my favorite roommate picture of all of us!

So that's my all of my roommates! I know I already told you guys about some of em but I figured that I should put some pictures with all of us in it so that nobody got left out.

*pictures of my bedroom will be posted sometime soon!! -- I just don't know when yet cause well, my room is still a disaster area...

No, I didn't fall off the face of the earth :)

So I got a text from Jenilyn a while ago saying that I need to update my blog so Jenilyn, this is dedicated just for you :)

I don't really have much to say... Nothing's exactly new in my life, just the same old school. This week pretty much sucked because of assignments and tests. Ok I swear that professors all get together and purposely plan all of their tests for the same week. I had like three tests and two papers due this week and it sucked! I know, I know, I'm in college and that's how it's supposed to be right? Wrong! Last semester spoiled me. I had like no homework and all the tests were easy. This semester I have to actually do assignments and study extra hard for all of my tests :( Bummer.

Hmm lets see, what else is new?... Oh yeah! Today felt almost like spring up here in Logan Utah! It was so warm that I only had to wear a light jacket to school. Shocking, I know. I think the high was about 40 degrees, but trust me... that's warm. I'm getting sick of waking up for my 7:30 class and having to go outside in below 0 temperatures. I've honestly forgotten what summer is like.

I think it's a record, I haven't been home for two weeks in a row. I'm going home tomorrow thank goodness cause my clothes hamper has been full for about a week now and it's overflowing - majorly. You pretty much can't see the floor of my side of the room. You might think I'm joking, but trust me I'm not. Poor Tammy!

Everyone always has cool pictures to go with their blogs but I'm lame and haven't taken like any pictures of anything up here. I have an idea! I'll take some pictures of my room when I've done all of my laundry and you can see the floor again and then post them on here next time I blog. Then my page won't look so boring :) Well, here's this one for now. I know that Ty doesn't deal with anything I wrote, but I want my page to look a little more exciting... I guess.

Awe I miss this little guy :)
