Halloween Party '10

So yesterday I had my yearly Halloween party! We had a lot of fun and I'm so thankful for everyone that drove all the way up to Logan for it.

This was what my costume turned out to look like:
I tried to poof my hair but apparently short hair doesn't like to be poofed too much... And thanks Heather for lending me the jacket!

And then of course since I had the 60's housewife look I had to take a picture with the soup :) This would be even better if I had actually made the soup but I didn't. My mom came up just to make it for the party. She's the best. And Heather too. She helped as well.

We played family Fued and Minute to Win it. I didn't get any pictures of our Family Feud game cause I was busy, but here's a couple pictures from the Minute to Win it game we played:
We played all sorts of little games for Minute to Win it, but here's a picture of a mini game where you have to keep 3 balloons up in the air without letting them touch the ground for a whole minute. For us it was more like 10 seconds, but we sure tried.

For this one, you had to get 6 penne noodles onto a regular spaghetti noodle in your mouth in a minute. Alayna kicked butt at it. Alayna, you really should try out for that show :)

For this game, you had to knock down a tower of 6 cans using only rubberbands from 8 feet away.

Those were only a few of the games we played for Minute to Win it. It was really fun and I recommend it to anyone thinking of having a party. I made up some of the mini games to play, but most of them I got off of the Minute to Win it game show website.

Here's a picture of part of the group. It was taken after my roommate Naconi and her friend left and before Cassie, her boyfriend, and Jenilyn showed up... so sadly not everybody's in it.

After that we went to Angie's and cleaned the sink. Well, we didn't actually clean the sinks cause we got sick after eating like half of them, but we sure tried and the waitress lady gave us a couple of bumper stickers anyway! Score! (Oh yeah, by the way if you don't know what "cleaning the sink" is, it's an Angie's tradition where they serve you about a gallon of soft serve ice cream in a sink... literally, a sink)

Again, thanks everyone for coming! I had a blast and I hope you guys had fun too!

HALLOWEEN!

First of all, I love Halloween. Actually, after Christmas, I'm pretty sure that it's my favorite holiday. Who doesn't love fall leaves, the smell, FREE candy, to be able to dress up and make a fool of yourself, pumpkins, fall colors, scary movies, and pumpkin flavored - well - everything? Personally I can't get enough of it.

So this year me and the roommies
decided that we should all dress up as different decades in time. It took us a while to finally decide on what to do cause we all wanted to have some sort of theme, but I think we ended up with a pretty good idea. I'm going to be the 60s. I found this awesome dress at the DI (my favorite Halloween costume store) and I'll do my hair in some sort of 60s style. I've been trying to find some pictures on google of what women from the 60s actually looked like, but I don't know how much I can trust the pictures I found. They look like random weirdos that dressed up and decided to call themselves 60s girls. So I'm kind of basing my costume off of the movie Hairspray instead. I figure that's about as close to the style they wore back then as I can get cause somebody else researched the clothing back then... not me :) bonus! This is a picture of a dress similar to mine. Though mine is yellow with pink flowers on it and my body is definitely not shaped like that mannequin. But overall that's the general shape of it.

I don't know if I'll be able to do it but I really want to do my hair like this. My hair is just about this length, maybe a little bit longer. But I think that if I can play with it a bit I can get it to do the little swooshy thing that this girl has going on.

Ever since 7th grade it's been my tradition to have a friend Halloween party. Last year since I came up here to Utah State and pretty much all of the friends that usually come to the parties were still at home I almost didn't have it. Luckily I did and surprisingly a lot of my home friends came up to Logan to come to it. So this year I'm having another one (I think I'll pretty much have a Halloween party till I'm old and lazy... which may be pretty soon). I'm super excited but now I have to get everything ready and it's kinda stressing me out. Top all that off with school and I'm kinda going crazy inside right now. Well, wish me luck! I'll post some pictures of the party and all of our costumes soon!

Well if I don't blog before then, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

My Blog

So I noticed my "Stats" tab and was playing around with it just now and found out that they have a section where you can see where people who are looking at your blog are from. I figured that I'm the only who ever looks at this thing and I'm posting all of these random posts to casper, but I found out something really cool. There have been 4 people from China, 2 people from Canada, and 1 person from Pakistan who have all looked at my blog! Some people might find that creepy, but I think it's pretty sweet!

Now, I know that at least like 100 of the 220 page views of my blog have been me, but that still mean that about 80 other people have looked at it as well! So I'm going to bed right now feeling pretty special :)
